Muziektheorie - de grammatica  van je muziek

Improvisatie en kennis van akkoorden

Een gave solo spelen met de goede noten kan niet zonder inzicht en gedegen kennis van akkoorden, toonsoorten, kwintencirkel, verschillende scales en harmonische functies. Zonder een theoretische basis is het erg lastig om interessante solo's te improviseren, als je bijvoorbeeld jazz, pop, fusion of wereldmuziek maakt.

Elke compositie, klassiek lieds, een soloconcert, een geimproviseerde jazz solo of een mooie song, heeft een bepaalde structuur. Als het goed is! Melodie, harmonie, ritme en ook tekst zijn de bouwstenen die mede bepalen of een nummer of een hit wordt of een flop!
